I wanted to share an update on our Sunshine Deluxe A4 myCOLLECTION binder you pre-ordered with us. Unfortunately due to the new size, and design we have faced some challenges which has delayed the shipping date to December 15th. Please see below the latest updates which have impacted our timelines:
The Deluxe Sunshine Binder was originally designed with 4-D rings to accommodate the increased capacity of pocket pages you'll be storing. However, after two months of rigorous testing, we found that the 4-D rings we sourced simply aren't strong enough for long-term use. Over time, the rings have the potential to bend under the increased weight from all those pocket pages. This was not an issue in our initial testing but we have found it to be an issue after going into production.
The good news: we've found a superior alternative. We've been testing 3-D rings that are significantly thicker and much stronger than the original 4-D rings. After extensive stress testing, these rings have proven they can handle the weight and capacity you need without any risk of bending or weakening over time. All Sunshine A4 deluxe binders will be released with 3-D rings. We are currently getitng the new batch of rings ordered and rebegin mass production.
Once we finalized the ring testing, we moved forward with customizing a brand-new Binder Shield specifically designed for these rings. As you know, each Binder Shield we create is custom-made and tailored to the exact size and specifications of the ring mechanism, so this required additional design and production time.
We'll keep you updated as we approach the finish date, and we're confident this upgraded design will serve your collection beautifully for years to come!
